Summary

Join our friendly team here at Havant Keystone Services as a Day Opportunities Support Worker. You’ll play a key role in supporting people with learning disabilities, to engage in a variety of personalised and meaningful activities. This could include involvement in projects within the local community or helping to develop important social networks. Providing person-centred support, you’ll help people with eating and drinking, personal care and communication.

We support people with a range of differing needs, abilities and interests and you’ll celebrate this diversity, promoting inclusion while offering fun and fulfilling activities to suit the individual. In this role, no two days are the same. You may be out and about swimming, bowling, going to the cinema or even the pub. Or simply sharing a personal hobby or interest, within our well-resourced facilities.

You may already have experience of enabling or providing care, but it’s not essential. For this vital Day Opportunities Support Worker role your life experience is just as important as work experience. Most importantly, you’ll demonstrate our core values, showing patience, empathy and compassion and share our commitment to enabling people to lead full and active lives as independently as possible. As a strong team player, you must have good communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of people. With a ‘can do’ approach, you’ll enjoy thinking creatively and inspiring others to engage. Sound basic IT and accurate information recording skills are also essential.
