Summary
Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an Electrical Team Member to join the Engineering team in Hartlepool on behalf of their client. This role entails providing first-line expertise to manufacturing areas as part of a small, multi-disciplined engineering team.
Position: Plant Shift Maintenance Electrician 4 on 4 off
Location: Hartlepool
Salary: £42,000 per annum basic (inclusive of shift allowance), rising to £46,043 per annum upon demonstration of site-specific competencies, plus quarterly bonus and yearly bonus and lots of overtime unavailable.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the engineering team in conducting preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, ensuring adherence to safe working procedures.
- Provide first-line technical expertise to identify and rectify faults, minimising plant downtime.
- Collaborate with relevant peers to suggest and implement improvements to process control systems.
- Ensure high-quality work, promptly repairing any deficiencies to prevent recurrence.
This role operates on a shift pattern, working 12-hour days and nights, with 2 days on, 2 nights on, and 4 days off.
Requirements:
- Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or possession of a recognised electrical maintenance qualification (NVQ or similar).
- Ideally, background in heavy engineering manufacturing and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Experience with industrial/domestic wiring, overhead cranes, slitters, cutters, presses, robots, etc.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Siemens & Allen Bradley), including HMI's.
- Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems, variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, and speed feedback devices.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and awareness of safety-related control systems.
