Crynodeb
This is as fixed term, full-time locum consultant posts but we would welcome those seeking less than full- time work to also apply. The post will involve: Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of a Rheumatology Service To share with colleagues responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Rheumatology service. Teaching & training of junior staff, medical students To actively participate in both departmental & Trust matters concerning Clinical Governance & audit. To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME). The Job Plan will be a prospective agreement that sets out a consultants duties, responsibilities & objectives. It will cover all aspects of a consultants professional practice including clinical work, teaching, research, education & managerial responsibilities. It will provide a clear schedule of commitments, both internal & external. In addition, it will include personal objectives, including details of their link to wider service objectives, & details of the support required by the consultant to fulfill the job plan & the objectives. We strongly believe that the job plan needs to be sustainable and should enable the successful candidate to maintain a good work-life balance. As a newly merged organisation, we expect flexibility, and candidates should to be able to work across all sites of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Foundation Trust should the need arise.
