This is an exciting opportunity to drive forward and develop markets across our sub-region. We are looking for someone who is passionate about developing markets in our market towns to support existing traders and attract new traders and visitors to our thriving markets.
The Markets Manager will have lead responsibility for the management and development of the markets, ensuring they are operated in accordance with the market regulations. You will work with the Markets team to promote the markets to residents and visitors, increasing footfall in our towns and supporting a varied programme of events, including specialised markets and the popular Teenage Markets. Typical duties will also include: overseeing health and safety checks of markets, liaising with Traders, budget management and ensuring the smooth running and continued development of Markets in our towns.
What we are looking for:
Experience in the operation and development of town Markets
Experience and knowledge in the organisation of safe events
Excellent Communication Skills
Experience of managing budgets
Good ICT skills
This position is a shared role within the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership (SELCP) and forms part of the S113 agreement between the participating partnership Councils in accordance with the Memorandum of Agreement 1st October 2021.
