The Head of Vector Production will play a pivotal role in our cell and gene therapy facility within the NHS.
This position is required to take responsibility for, implementation and management of production required for the operation of the vector facility through joint working with CCGTT staff and contracted users of the CCGTT.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day interactions with new and existing clinical triallists using the CCGTT; for training existing and new staff in ATMP GMP manufacture as required and, occasionally for initial review of manufacturing documents prior to submission to certification.
The post holder will be expected to participate in GMP manufacture of some lentiviral vector batch to retain competence and familiarity with CCGTT operations. Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota for CCGTT equipment and facility monitoring
The post holder will participate in audits of internal audits of CCGTT GMP compliance in partnership with the QA of the vector facility and other members of the senior management team.
The post holder will continue the development of regulatory compliance of new lentiviral vectors.
The post holder will ensure the delivery of a high quality service to all users of the CCGTT.
