The successful candidate will be a self-starter and be able to provide high-quality support to the Commissioner, working closely with the Chief of Staff to track and drive forward the Commissioner’s priorities. You will lead and manage the operations of the SPCC Programme Management office, have excellent IT skills to lead and manage the development of the SPCC website and case management system to comply with statutory regulations. Your work will play an important role in delivering improvements in policing to benefit the Armed Forces and the public.
The senior office programme lead manages the successful operation of the SPCC office and leads on areas of work including, tracking of cases, Secretariat duties, budget for the office, focal point for SPCC policy and project manage the implementation of SPCC’s recommendations, and comms for the SPCC website. There are a number of development opportunities for personal/career growth.
Key responsibilities:
Management of the SPCC office to include: acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders and following up on various requests & commissions, inbox filtering, prioritising and escalation. The identification and management of risks and issues that may effect delivery, resource management, identification and prioritisation, acting as the conduit between the investigators and key stakeholders.
As part of the SPCC communication strategy, develop, lead and manage the creation of the SPCC website. Creating and uploading new content, engaging across Defence, Other Government Departments and Third Sector organisations to develop the website.
Lead on the budget for the office ensuring Value for Money, Accountability and Transparency. Create and implement methods to track and maintain budget oversight for SPCC and present quarterly office budget updates.
Governance- The establishment and management of a governance and engagement process to include secretariat responsibilities.
Remote working within this role is something that can be discussed at interview stages or with your future line manager if you are found successful.
