We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate Housing Officer.
Langley Trust gives you support and free training to make a rewarding difference to people’s lives every day. We have a great opportunity available for a Housing Officer to join our team based at our Murray Lodge Service in Coventry on a permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £24,770 per annum plus excellent benefits

As our Housing Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Trust policies, processes, procedures and stakeholder contracts by liaising with staff, external agencies and partners; ensuring that all properties within the project are safe, habitable, fit for purpose and fully equipped in accordance with the Trust policies and the terms of the tenancy agreement with the relevant landlords.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the management of the referral process within the project
- Provide information to clients and advise on Welfare Benefits including Housing Benefit
- Where tenants have a physical disability, assist in assessment of needs and the provision of equipment/facilities as required
- Provide information about tenants’ rights and responsibilities
- Address incidents of rent arrears
- Develop and maintain accurate records including correspondence, housing management plans and health and safety records on the tenants file
- Support statutory agencies in the monitoring of risk and other support/care or training factors
- Ensure that the team is fully briefed on the tenants and referrals according to the method of communication advised by their line manager

About MURRAY LODGE
Murray Lodge is a hostel that provides housing and tenancy services for male ex-offenders based in Coventry. Murray Lodge provides a sign posting service for men to access specialist support in the community e.g. for substance misuse and mental health. The service offers accommodation to a diverse client base with low needs, who are supported by a strong multi-disciplinary housing team.
