We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Stores Assistant to join a global manufacturer based in Whitstable. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various tasks within the Stores area, including preparing and completing kitting procedures, ensuring work areas are clean and tidy, inputting and reading data from the MAPICS database, transferring goods safely from area to area, overseeing the receipt of goods into the Stores area, picking/kitting for production and dispatch, and complying with the Company Health and Safety policy while adhering to all relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and complete kitting procedures accurately and efficiently.

- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in work areas.

- Input and read data from the MAPICS database for inventory management.

- Safely transfer goods from one area to another within the manufacturing facility.

- Oversee the receipt of goods into the Stores area and ensure accuracy of incoming shipments.

- Pick and kit materials for production and dispatch according to specified requirements.

- Follow Company Health and Safety policy and adhere to all relevant Health and Safety legislation.

Requirements:

- IT literacy

- Proven experience in a stores or warehouse environment.

- Familiarity with inventory management systems, preferably MAPICS.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.

- Ability to safely handle and transfer goods within the manufacturing facility.

- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and willingness to comply with company policies.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
