The 280-bedroom Hyatt Place London City East – is managed by the award winning Cycas Hospitality, ours is the first property under the Hyatt Place brand in Central London. Occupying a prime position in the bustling district of Aldgate on Whitechapel, close to brick lane and Shoreditch, and just minutes from the heart of London’s Financial district.
The hotel has a stunning destination rooftop bar, that overlooks The Gherkin and Canary Wharf, ‘PocketSquare – Skyline Bar & Terrace’, with an unashamedly and eccentrically–local flavour. East London’s most exclusive skyline destination seamlessly weaves artistic décor, outrageous views, smooth beats and distinctive cocktail and food–paired menus.
Our bar is complimented by our destination Sicilian restaurant, 'Sotto Cucina ', a contemporary and colourful dining experience, inspired by the food and culture of the island of Sicily. The restaurant has its own orangery private dining room and external Terraza courtyard. Local artistic influences combined throughout the property to give culinary expression to our East London neighbourhood.
We are looking for a star in direct sales, who wants to join a growing company and join Cycas Hospitalities largest hotel in London and enjoy the commercial benefits of working within one the fastest growing global hotel brands.
About the role – A Day in the life of our Sales Manager.
This role contributes to the Cycas Hospitality vision, goals and values and is responsible for supporting the overall revenue and performance throughout the property. Our Sales Manager reports directly to the Hotel Director of Sales, works closely with the Area Director of Sales and the General Manager to determine appropriate sales strategies in key market segments maximising all opportunity supporting revenue objectives.
You will be adept at sourcing new leads and business opportunities. This role will be focused on all market segments and geographical areas to include national and local corporate companies and various industry sectors through focused research, utilising local knowledge and contacts, intelligence tools and social media platforms.
The Sales Manager will use their experience in proactive sales, ideally within the hospitality sector, to leverage new accounts whilst managing an existing portfolio of clients. The candidate will exude great customer service skills, with a natural passion and enthusiasm for sales and relationship building. The Sales Manager is highly driven, tenacious and will be motivated by success. A good, professional manner is essential. Working directly with the Director of Sales, General Manager, and other key stakeholders in the business, you'll be fundamental in ensuring all key business opportunities are identified and exploited.
About You - Competencies & Skills
Proactively solicits and qualifies new business to achieve team’s target and hotel revenue goals through telephone solicitation.
Acknowledged Sales experience within the Hospitality Industry.
Understanding of sales within a Global Brand
Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship skills.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
Confident in handling outbound sales calls, site tour inspections, and written communication.
Analytical approach to sales and ability to “think outside the box”.
Effective ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and develop teams.
Ability to develop and deliver effective presentations.
Demonstrate initiative, energy, enthusiasm and be a motivator.
Ability to adapt to a frequently changing market environment.
Ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
Desire to coach selling techniques to the team on property.
Excellent organisational and planning skills
