Tudor Employment Agency are currently recruiting for Welders to work for our prestigious client based in Cannock.
Our Client is situated to provide a nationwide service, with a highly experienced team, the company has built its reputation on providing a reliable, friendly service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Using various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding to join, fabricate, and repair metal and other weldable materials
• Interpreting engineering blueprints, sketches, and specifications to determine the layout and welding operations required
• Selecting and preparing metal and other materials based on job requirements
• Cutting and shaping materials using saws, shears, and other cutting tools
• Inspecting materials, equipment, and structures for compliance with specifications and ensure that they are free of defects
• Performing routine maintenance on welding equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working condition
• Performing quality checks on completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and standards. Identifying and fixing any issues or defects
• Following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Using personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Working alongside other welders, fabricators, and engineers to complete projects efficiently and accurately
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project specifications
Preferred Experience:
• Previous experience in MIG & TIG welding mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
• Experience working with different types of metals and welding materials
• Familiarity with automated and semi-automated welding tools and equipment
• Experience in a manufacturing or construction environment
Please note: Our client is open to receiving applications with basic welding skill at this stage for consideration
Rate of Pay: up to £16phr dependant on experience
Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 7.30am - 4pm / Fri - 7.30am - 1pm
