Crynodeb
General Medicine has a strong track record in supporting a wide range of trainees. This experience will be fully utilised to ensure that each successful applicant has support within the department to ensure that their career aspirations are progressed. Junior Clinical Fellows will have a designated Consultant Clinical Supervisor (and Mentor) and Appraiser (and Mentor) for the duration of the rotation. Key tasks of this role are:-- Provision of junior support to General Medicine ward.- Assessment and management of patients on Ward 306 (General medicine)- Active participation in Clinical Governance, Audit & Teaching activities.- Administrative tasks for these services- Keeping up to date with guidelines, protocols and clinical skills- Participating in CME & CPD- Participation in annual appraisal & job planning. Applicants must have completed at least 2 year's post-qualification experience either in the UK or abroad; and have experience in Acute Medicine/ Medical specialities. In addition, candidates should have MRCP Part 1, along with experience and confidence of NHS systems and practices (or equivalent), with excellent English communication skills, IT typing skills and behaviour demonstrating engagement and competence. The post holder must be registered with the GMC and hold a License to practice and adhere to good medical practice.
