About the Role: As a Sexual Offence Nurse Examiner, you will play a critical role in our multidisciplinary team, providing assessments and evidence that inform legal outcomes. Our Examiners are pivotal in ensuring high-quality care and evidential integrity for both children and adults who have been exposed to sexual violence. Opportunities Available: Practitioners: Receive training to become experienced in providing forensic examinations and evidence collection. Portfolio Careers: Including roles such as Investigators, Clinical Reviewers, Expert Witnesses, and Facilitators. Competitive salary of £42,000 per annum starting salary with full training given, rising to £45,000 once certain qualifications and training have been achieved. 6 weeks annual leave + flexible working policies and possibility for unlimited unpaid leave for sabbaticals, long holidays etc. Company sick pay scheme. Excellent employee assistance programme built on psychological safety foundations. Flexible Working Hours: Full-time is a 36-hour work week arranged in 3, 12-hour shifts per week. Part-time roles are available, including consideration of a portfolio career across our services, such as Investigations, Clinical Reviews, Expert Witnesses, and other skilled services. Key Responsibilities: Perform holistic, forensic clinical assessments for children, young people, and adults who experienced sexual assault, with a meticulous eye for detail. Interact sensitively, ensuring a trauma-informed approach to care supporting self-referrals along with police referrals. Uphold the highest standards of data integrity and confidentiality in documentation and evidence handling. Co-produce individual management plans tailored to the needs of each client. Provide testimony in court, contributing to the integrity of legal proceedings. Engage in ongoing training and professional development as part of our Novice to Expert programme. Lead initiatives, mentor peers, and engage in programmes designed to enhance professional skills and service delivery, including our partners. Support the continuous quality improvement of our services under the requirements of the Forensic Science Regulator with the wider teams. Ideal Candidate: Registered Nurses with experience or an interest in forensic and legal medicine and a minimum of 3 years post qualification. Committed to undertaking a comprehensive competency framework. Must have or be willing to work towards master's level study, complete educational courses and work towards being able to provide testimony to court.
