Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join our dedicated mental health team as an ASW (Approved Social Worker). In this role, you will play a vital role in assessing and supporting individuals who are experiencing mental health crises. Your expertise in mental health legislation and experience working collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams will be essential in ensuring the provision of the highest standard of care.

As an ASW - Approved Mental Health Professional (AMPH) - Mental Health, you will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, making informed decisions about the appropriate care and treatment for individuals, and ensuring that their rights are upheld throughout the process. You will work closely with service users, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans that address their specific needs.

Responsibilities
Conduct mental health assessments in line with relevant legislation and guidance
Collaborate with service users, their families, and other professionals to develop and implement care plans
Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals experiencing mental health crises
Advocate for the rights and interests of service users, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect
Liaise with relevant agencies and organizations to coordinate care and support services
Facilitate and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to review and evaluate the progress of service users
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, care plans, and interventions
Requirements
Registered and in good standing with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g., HCPC)
Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) status
Extensive knowledge of mental health legislation, including the Mental Health Act 1983 (as amended)
Experience conducting mental health assessments and formulating care plans
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with relevant research and best practices in mental health

Pay Per Hour: £31.03
