This is a full-time apprenticeship, working 30 hours a week at one of our Fitness and Wellbeing (gym) sites.
What will you do in the role?
- Attend fitness team meetings and training sessions monthly, both to support and educate you on your career development
- Attend apprenticeship meetings, working towards your Personal Training Apprenticeship
- Support members to reach their health & fitness goals and maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Support our Community Exercise and Community Education programmes that we offer for free to some of the communities most in need of health and wellbeing education and activity sessions
- Support other departments in the gym on an ad hoc basis once you have the relevant training/qualifications such as covering reception, lifeguarding, front of house to learn about the operational aspects of a busy gym
- Once you have reached the relevant milestones, you will support general duties on site, support members and any enquiries they have, support community outreach activity, deliver gym floor activity, group fitness, gym inductions, engagement sessions, programming sessions and learn all about our signature Personal Best programme, and of course our Personal training approach so you can hit the ground running as soon as you qualify.
Apprenticeship Information
At Nuffield Health, you will be working towards your Enhanced Personal Training Level 3 apprenticeship over the course of 14-18 months (this includes L2 Certificate in Gym Instructing). If you already have your L2 qualification we can support you gaining the L3 on its own in a shorter timeframe. This will involve a blended learning experience (online and face to face) with a support network including your Lifetime coach, a Nuffield Health mentor, Expert Fitness Education team and your line manager. The apprenticeship is a structured learner and employer focused development programme, consisting of face-to-face and/or remote training, designed to create opportunities to acquire lifelong knowledge, skills and behaviours.
Once you have completed the apprenticeship and hold your L3 Personal Training qualification, you will be moved onto our iconic Personal training model, which allows you to increase your earnings through PT commission and grow your own client base.
