An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Immunisation Administrator to join our 0-19 aged Sussex Immunisation Service.

The SCFT Sussex Immunisation Service vaccinates children in schools and clinics across West Sussex, East Sussex and Brighton and Hove.

The role requires working core hours of 8am-4pm, 3 or 4 days per week, with flexibility to work later, on occasion, to offer administrative support and reception duties for clinics. You may also be asked to come in early occasionally to assist with packing of vaccines.

This post will be based at Brighton General Hospital, but you may be required to travel to provide support in offices within the whole SCFT area.

The successful applicant will provide administrative and secretarial support to this innovative and dynamic immunisation team; dedicated to improving immunisation uptake and delivering the national evidence-based schools’ immunisation programmes. They may also act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, directing them to the appropriate recipient and accurately recording information and messages.

We welcome applicants who can demonstrate a willingness to work flexibly and co-operatively with colleagues both within their own team and the wider multidisciplinary teams across the whole SCFT area. You will need to be motivated, conscientious and committed to supporting us to maintain high vaccination coverage across Sussex.

All team members support the whole of the SCFT Immunisation Service, therefore you must be willing to travel to other offices and occasionally clinics within Sussex, due to this you must be a car owner and driver.

You must be experienced in typing/word processing and be able to demonstrate high quality administrative skills including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
You will need to have excellent written and verbal skills to deal with a wide range of people, patients/parents, clinical and non-clinical staff and other professionals.
