About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an IT and Digital Skills Learning Lead to join us on a permanent basis. Through the development of a Digital Learning Academy, the role will be instrumental in driving up standards of digital competency within the organisation, enabling colleagues to utilise IT systems and equipment to their full potential to improve both colleague and customer experience.
The role will design, deliver and evaluate learning programmes to support new system implementations, enhancements to existing systems and to cover the full scope of core systems used by colleagues.
The role is offered on hybrid working basis with the ability for a proportion of home working. Due to the nature of this role however we are looking for candidates who are able to commute to our premises in Sunderland on a daily basis when required.
The role is subject to a basic DBS paid for by Gentoo.

• Build, embed and grow a Digital and Technical Learning Academy through a series of structured development pathways at all levels of the Group
• Design and develop the learning offering for all core systems including Salesforce, Workday and MRI Housing
• Ensure that learning materials align with industry best practices and incorporate engaging and interactive elements
• Design, create, and maintain a catalogue of learning materials across the digital and technical landscape that includes ‘e’ based manuals, presentations, videos, podcasts, playlists and other resources, to facilitate effective blended learning
• Develop and implement evaluation methods to monitor and assess the effectiveness of training sessions, gathering feedback and making improvements to the learning process
• Work closely with the Heads of Service and managers to understand specific technical skill requirements for their teams
What we are looking for:
• Experience of writing and delivering IT and digital training programs
• Enabling learning through presentations, demonstrations, instruction and coaching in both technical and non-technical training programmes
• Demonstrable experience of implementing new business processes and systems
• Project management experience – the ability to take an idea from concept to completion whilst influencing senior stakeholders
Knowledge of:
• Extensive knowledge of assessment methodologies and competency management
• Demonstrable experience of implementing new business processes and systems
• Ability to adapt the learning style to the audience
• Excellent use of IT and Microsoft packages
