The Prudential Risk & ESG Oversight Manager will play an instrumental role in safeguarding TSB’s financial stability and advancing our sustainability efforts. Operating within the Second Line of Defence in the Risk Function, our team’s responsibilities span the Financial and Strategic risk categories. We provide oversight and challenge to maintain TSB’s financial health, minimise losses and support sustainable growth.
How you’ll make a difference
As a Prudential Risk and ESG Oversight Manager, you will contribute to close and continuous oversight of TSB’s financial resilience, capital adequacy, funding & liquidity, and market risk. Your role will also involve assisting in providing independent assurance on regulatory deliverables such as the ICAAP, ILAAP, and Basel 3.1 Implementation.
You will help to assess the framework and associated reporting, created by the first line teams to manage Prudential and ESG risk, while ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulation. Supporting management in their interactions across the business and building relationships with a range of stakeholders across Treasury, Risk and Finance will also be part of your remit. What you’ll bring
- Previous banking experience, preferably within Treasury Risk or Finance. Familiarity with prudential regulation, Treasury products and challenges derived from Basel 3.1 implementation would be advantageous.
- Good planning and organisational skills, with a proven ability to deliver to timelines.
- Experience with managing, prioritising, and delivering multiple tasks.
- Track record of building rapport with key stakeholders.
- Experience in leading discussions with peers and senior colleagues, with an approach to reach consensus.
- Clear and concise communication skills, especially when conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks and propose practical solutions.
- Experience using technical and statistical tools such as SAS, SQL, VBA / Excel, or Power BI would be beneficial.
- Existing knowledge, or a willingness to learn about Prudential Risk topics and relevant regulation related to:o Capital o Liquidity and Fundingo Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Booko Recovery and Resolution o ESGWhat we offer in return
