There is a fantastic opportunity to join our team at our site in Rotherham, the largest Parcelforce Depot in the UK, which on average processes 20,000 items per day.

We have a Collection & Delivery Manager position at the Parcelforce Rotherham depot in which you will be responsible for leading a team, accountable for health and safety, and operational quality, cost and people KPI’s.

About the role

As a line manager to 40+ delivery and collection drivers, self-employed owner drivers, admin and warehouse staff, you will be able to achieve maximum efficiency through resource and contingency planning driving quality of service and maximising productivity. Working to tight timescales you will drive the depot to achieve the highest possible customer service satisfaction levels whilst also ensuring a swift resolution to all customer enquiries and complaints.
You will be responsible for ensuring the performance of your unit, effectively maintaining the quality of service for our customers and the overall safety of the people you manage whilst working closely with the local sales team to increase revenue opportunities and highlight any network conformance issues.

Attendance
- Monday to Friday, 12:00
- 20.12. A degree of flexibility is required to meet operational demands.
About you

It takes more than organisational skills to be a manager. we’re looking for individuals with a passion for people and the following skills and experiences:


- From a express parcels background with some experience of working in a unionised environment.
- Managing and supporting a large team to maximise performance, service and achieving KPIs.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate team members to work to high standards.
- Experience of introducing improvements and successfully guiding people through significant periods of change.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with your team, unions and key stakeholders.
- Experience of managing resources and budgets.
