We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated and passionate person with experience of working in performance and business development environment to lead a team in maximising intelligence from a wide range of data.

As a member of the management team for the Business Intelligence functions the role will deliver high quality and effective analytical support to the wider organisation through the effective matching of business needs to available evidence based solutions. The post holder will be a lead advocate on the effective use of data and information to extract intelligence and advise on potential solutions to improve services.

This is an exciting opportunity to help instill an evidence-led culture at a time of transformational change across a large range of stakeholders supported by a team to drive a consistent across the organisation.

This post presents an opportunity to work in a progressive team, making the most of available tools to truly add value at a time of transformation within mental health services.

The post holder will embed an innovative team ethos, working closely with the wider BI departmental leads to make the best use of technical solutions available to meet user needs. This work will involve providing expert support for Business Development opportunities, including business case development and business planning. A thorough understanding of operational processes will be required to ensure measures applied are an accurate reflection of good patient care in line with the trust’s values and objectives.

Leading a team of Performance Officers/Business Intelligence Partners to actively support all aspects of the organisation’s performance agenda you will embed quality assurance processes to ensure performance data is robust and explanations for variances are understood and noted before publication. As well as supporting the identification of good performance there is a requirement to challenge gaps in policies, processes and data quality with supporting plans of how to address.

Working with other trust departments the post holder will look to establish mechanisms to create a multi-faceted view of performance across numerous data sources as well as promoting awareness of national and local targets and the benefits BI can bring.
