Spanish Driver Guide
E2G Tours is looking for freelance Spanish Driver Guides to join our team of tour guides delivering bespoke tours in Scotland.
The Company
E2G Tours Ltd. is a bespoke tour provider operating in the tourism sector in Scotland. We provide private tours and experiences to small groups of tourists in Scotland. Despite being a fairly new company, we have experienced exceptional growth and are set to become a major player in the private tour sector in Scotland.
The Position
As a Spanish driver guide, you will take small private groups of tourists in tours designed by us, using your own vehicle. Our clients are looking for a different experience to the usual tour buses, so you will have a personable nature, a keen interest in Scottish culture and history. You do not have to be a historian, but you will be expected to study the induction information we provide and then build on it over time through your own personal research. Most of our customers are not interested in a history lecture, but rather in having a well-rounded tour guide with reasonable knowledge of Scottish culture, geography, history and general affairs. Customer satisfaction will always be your number one priority.
Please note that this is a freelance self-employed flexible position – it is not a full-time job.
Requirements
• You must have your own vehicle of a good standard, as this is a driver guide position.
• You must have the appropriate level of vehicle insurance. In order to take customers you should have chauffeur insurance (unless you are a taxi driver, in which case you should already be covered).
• You will have a friendly and personable nature.
• You will be an outstanding communicator.
• Currently we are looking especially for Spanish speakers, but will consider speakers of one other languages.
• You will be able to research information as required and have a keen interest in constantly improving your knowledge of the tour sites we cover.
• You will be self-employed and be responsible for all your tax and National Insurance matters and liabilities.
Payment
The rate paid varies according to the size of your vehicle/size of the party, your experience, the time of the year, and the specific tour you are doing. As an indicative figure only, you can expect to be paid an all-inclusive fee between £250 and £360 per day – sometimes more depending on the job. There are often gratuities on top of that. Full details regarding payment will be provided to successful applicants.
This is a flexible self-employed and seasonal position, as most assignments come during the tourism high season. Payment is usually made within two weeks of receipt of a monthly invoice.

The recruitment process is as follows:
• Applicants that pass the initial CV screening stage will be invited to a telephone and/or video interview.
• Applicants who pass the interview stage will be invited to a full day induction, where we will take you through a tour route to allow you to familiarise yourself with the tour. This is NOT a remunerated day.
After the induction day, if we are happy with you and you are happy to work for us, you will be added to our team of driver guides and we can start allocating you work.
