Crynodeb

The position will commence in September 2024

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is an established provider of the national programme for Talking Therapies. NHS HMR Talking Therapies provides the NICE-recommended psychological therapies for people with mild to moderate common mental health problems including depression and the anxiety disorders.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee High Intensity Therapist to join NHS HMR on 12-month fixed term contract. On successful completion of the training course, the trainee will be able to apply for qualified Cognitive-Behavioural Therapist positions within Pennine Care and across Greater Manchester.

The trainee will undertake a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive and Behaviour Therapy at Greater Manchester Mental Health Training Centre for the duration of their training course. The trainee will attend university for part of the week and will be working within service for the remainder of the time to develop their skills in clinical practice.

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop skills in evidence-based high intensity therapy for common mental health problems and to gain the accreditation you need to practice as a High Intensity Therapist.

We are proud to provide high quality mental health and learning disability services, both inpatient and in the community across five boroughs of Greater Manchester - Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport and Tameside.

Our vision is for a happier and more hopeful life for everyone in our communities and our staff work hard to deliver the very best care for the people who use our services. We’re really proud of our #PennineCarePeople and do everything we can to make sure we’re a great place to work.

All individuals regardless of race, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, gender, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, religion or belief, marriage and civil partnership are encouraged to apply for this post. We would also encourage applications from individuals with a lived experience of mental illness, either individually or as a carer.

See job description and person specification for further details about the requirements of the role.
