Job Description:Vehicle Operation:
• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV with a curtainside trailer.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Navigate routes efficiently to ensure timely deliveries and collections.

Loading and Unloading:
• Assist with the loading and unloading of goods using appropriate equipment.
• Secure loads properly to prevent movement during transit.
• Ensure goods are handled with care to avoid damage.

Compliance and Safety:
• Adhere to all relevant driving regulations, including tachograph and working time regulations.
• Follow company health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses promptly.

Customer Service:
• Communicate professionally with customers and clients.
• Deliver goods in a courteous and efficient manner, providing excellent customer service.
• Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and effectively.

Documentation:
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and timesheets.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Licence: Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• CPC: Up-to-date Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
• Tachograph Card: Digital tachograph card.
• Experience: Previous experience driving Class 1 HGVs, preferably with a curtainside trailer.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with UK road networks and HGV routes.
• Skills: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to handle the physical demands of loading and unloading goods.
• Capable of working in various weather conditions.
