Clinical Networks bring stakeholders together – providers, commissioners and patients – to create alignment around programmes of transformational work that will improve care for the health economy.
The networks provide the clinical expertise and leadership to drive commissioning decision making, measure and benchmark quality and outcomes and share best practice and innovation.
In this way, the networks:
• Improve quality outcomes.
• Advance the delivery of services.
• Reduce unacceptable variations of care.
The Clinical Networks have a national mandate to deliver on key priorities within national policy programmes for transformational change in CVD, Stroke, Diabetes and Respiratory.
As Network Administrator, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service, supporting managers and staff across the South West long term conditions Clinical Network programme.The postholder will be able to provide specialist secretarial/administration support and advice to the teams to support a number of initiatives by:
• Supporting the team with the management and delivery of specific projects and participating in department events, organising and planning events as directe
• Working with all team members in the collection of information for performance reporting on relevant team projects
• Supplying the relevant information required for financial management, supporting the head of department and teams by checking, coding and sending invoices for payment
• Preparing agendas, taking minutes and distributing notes of meetings including typing up group discussions and interviews as necessary
• Developing and maintaining effective electronic systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Main duties of the job continued...
• Managing the electronic diary for the department, including arranging appointments, travel arrangements for senior managers, setting up meetings and prioritising these as appropriate
• Acting as a point of contact for teams, monitoring generic inboxes, dealing with and responding effectively to complex queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously
