Summary
General Purpose Patrol Dog Handler (Part-time, 6month contract)
Rate: £15.00ph (PAYE)
Must live within a maximum 1-hour drive from location (TW6)
General Purpose Patrol Dog Handler based in West London, but able to travel nationally as per client requirements. Team to conduct public reassurance patrols within an extremely busy location. Assisting ICTS clients with the reduction in antisocial behaviour and supporting a larger security detail.
An experienced security professional, you will respond to requests for dog and handler assistance, conduct high-profile, proactive canine patrols, provide specialist advice where appropriate and promote security procedures.Handlers will need to be proactive and motivated and have a good understanding of basic training required to maintain your dog's standards of efficiency.
You will also be responsible for transporting yourself and your dog to deployments and training, supervising, and controlling the dog in compliance with legislation and BS8517.
You will collaborate closely with our clients to ensure service provision meets targets, completing deployment reports and communicating any issues to your manager.
You will also be required to identify any security risks and report these to the client and your manager.
Compliance with ICTS Health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
Compliance with ICTS and client assignment instructions
Normal shifts hours are 8 - 12hrs, covering various times of the day and night to support a well-established, layered security system.
An SIA Door Supervisor (DS) licence is essential, and to succeed in this role you will also need:
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
* Full UK driving Licence (no more than six points)
* Five years checkable history
* Ability to pass a criminal record check (CRC) to the required standard
* Right to work in the UK
NASDU/HABC Level 2 GP qualification:
* Own dogs trained to level 2, be sociable and hold a current NASDU team certificate.
* British Standards compliant vehicle, in good condition.
