Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to work for an RCVS accredited small animal hospital? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you here at Purovets.
Our client is located in a charming market town in Lincolnshire, which boasts excellent road links in all directions and rail links to London and nationwide via Peterborough. The beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds and the Norfolk coast are within easy day trip distance. Here, the skies are vast, the people are friendly, and the cost of living is very affordable.
Due to recent expansion, our client is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The position offers a large and varied caseload of both medical and surgical cases, with duties split between consulting and operating.
The hospital has recently been extended and is well-equipped with top-class imaging (digital x-ray, CT scanner, ultrasound, video endoscope including laparoscopic kit), a wide range of surgical and orthopaedic equipment, four sterile theatres, dental x-ray, ECG, tonopen and slit lamp, Class 4 laser, extensive lab facilities, spacious dog and cat kennels, and a large isolation area. They also run a dedicated night service for their own clients and other local practices.
There is a high orthopaedic caseload through the practice, offering ample opportunity for another surgeon to develop their skills in this area. An interest in imaging would also be encouraged. This role is based at the hospital, with shifts at sister branch practices.
You will be joining a friendly, experienced, and supportive team committed to offering high standards of clinical care. Within the team of 15 vets, colleagues have completed or are studying towards further qualifications in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery, internal medicine, dermatology, and ophthalmology. The vets are well supported by an experienced and conscientious team of Registered and Student Veterinary Nurses, many of whom are pursuing further qualifications, along with excellent support staff. They are a welcoming team and excel at helping newcomers feel at ease.
The successful candidate must be RCVS Registered and have experience in surgical case consults. While orthopaedic experience would be great, it is not essential.
If this sounds like the perfect opportunity for you, we would love to hear from you.
