Crynodeb
We are recruiting for a Depot Supervisor to become part of the management team, reporting to the Depot Manager Based in Southampton for a key engineering company.
The Depot Supervisor Role comes with a salary of up to £50000 once overtime is included, and our client would be looking for a candidate with previous rollingstock supervisory experience. This is working across a 3-week roster including days and nights.
Responsibilities of Depot Supervisor whilst working in the role will include:
- Maintain, service, and repair Wagons in accordance with approved maintenance plans
- Supervise the team to implement the daily work plan that has been assigned
- Coach and assist the fitters in their technical development when required
- Ensure all relevant records for examinations and repairs is correctly completed to company standards through the Electronic Asset Management System
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, identify, and reduce hazards to ensure a clean and safe environment is maintained whilst carrying out your duties
- Be a good communicator, including issuing briefings, reporting issues and actioning
- Maintaining a safe environment and all safety procedures are adhered to
- Provide leadership to your team to create an engaged and motivated workforce
- Carry out IPEs and safety observations to develop team members
Requirements for the Depot Supervisor:
- Commitment to adopting safe working practices
- An underpinning knowledge and an ability to understand mechanical and pneumatic systems
- An appreciation of mechanical maintenance activities and a willingness to learn
- A background knowledge and experience of rolling stock maintenance
- Supervisory or management experience and the ability to make sound engineering decisions
- Engineering qualification at LV3, or similar in mechanical engineering
- Ability to seek continuous improvement
