Job Overview: Attention 3.5T Recovery Drivers - An exciting opportunity to join one of London's leading Scrap Metal dealers based in London!! We are currently seeking 5 reliable and experienced Drivers to join our team on a self employed basis. The Driver will be responsible for recovering vehicles that have either broken down or been involved in a crash (RTA), so the work is varied and challenging. This is not your standard 3.5T driving job, every day will be different with new challenges, experiences, and stories.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods and materials - Load and unload items from the vehicle - Plan routes and follow schedules - Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and site staff - Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations - Maintain accurate records of collections and vehicle maintenance
Skills:
- Valid driver's license with no more than 6 penalty points - Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role - Must possess a 'can-do' attitude - Excellent communication skills - Be prepared to be flexible - Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety standards - Good geographical knowledge and ability to navigate using maps
Shift Information
Monday to Friday 3:30 pm - 11 pm or 7am – 5pm Every other Saturday 3pm - 8pm or 7am – 2pm and Sunday 10am - 4pm
Schedule: Night shift Day shift Weekend availability
