Crynodeb
Will be the Operational Manager leading the Psychiatric Liaison service, providing direct line management to staff across a range of professional backgrounds. Working alongside the directorate management team will co-ordinate, lead and develop the delivery of the service. Will undertake clinical duties and may be required to maintain a clinical caseload. Will be expected to participate in the Operational On Call Mental Health Rota. To be responsible for the delivery of a seamless, integrated service for patients living in Somerset. To be responsible for service development and the development of an integrated approach to care within the acute trusts. To be accountable for quality service delivery and working collaboratively with other agencies. To be responsible for the operational management and line management of the County Wide Psychiatric Liaison Service. To work with the Head of Inpatient and Urgent Care to ensure the seamless local delivery of the services across the county. To be responsible for the management of the Service budget for all of the staff, for both pay and non-pay. To demonstrate advanced negotiation, motivational, explanation and reassurance skills across a range of management issues. To take a lead role in disciplinary and grievance issues including undertaking the role of investigating officer and panel member. For more details, please see job description.
