Crynodeb

We are looking to recruit an experienced CT clinical specialist radiographer to lead CT training of staff as we expand our services at the Mile End Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC). The successful applicant will be expected to network with and travel to other Barts Health sites as required and will spend a significant proportion of their time at the Royal London site.

The post holder will be an integral part of the CT Department management team providing visible leadership, training and expertise with a focus on quality, safety, and improvement. The post holder would be responsible for the introduction of new services and scans in CT and roll out of training to radiographers and Imaging assistants. The successful candidate will act as mentor to overseas candidates who have recently joined the NHS, and will guide their preceptorship in CT to ensure they successfully transition into full time posts.

Ideally the candidate would hold a reporting qualification, however we would also support applications from staff members who wish to train as a reporting radiographer or wish to expand a current interest into the 4 pillars of advanced clinical practice.

To lead and provide expert clinical practice, training and education to the Imaging workforce and audit practice in line with departmental and national guidelines and protocols. To mentor newly employed overseas radiographers through their preceptorship and CT training.

Barts Health is one of the largest NHS trusts in the country, and one of Britain’s leading healthcare providers.

The Barts Health group of NHS hospitals is entering an exciting new era on our improvement journey to becoming an outstanding organisation with a world-class clinical reputation. Having lifted ourselves out of special measures, we now have the impetus and breathing space to chart a fresh course in which we are continually striving to improve all our services for patients.

Our vision is to be a high-performing group of NHS hospitals, renowned for excellence and innovation, and providing safe and compassionate care to our patients in east London and beyond. That means being a provider of excellent patient safety, known for delivering consistently high standards of harm-free care and always caring for patients in the right place at the right time. It also means being an outstanding place to work, in which our WeCare values and behaviours are visible to all and guide us in how we work together.

We strive to live by our WeCare values and are committed to promoting inclusion, where every staff member has a sense of belonging. We value our differences and fully advocate, cultivate and support an inclusive working environment.
