We are excited to announce an opening for a motivated and dynamic Medical Devices Coordinator to join our team at KMPT!
In this role, you will play a vital role in:
• Overseeing the safe and efficient management of medical devices across the entire Trust.
• Implementing strategies to achieve the highest standards in medical equipment use.
• Proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with medical equipment.
To be successful, you will ideally possess:
• A strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• In-depth knowledge of medical equipment and relevant regulations (desirable).
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• The post holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving license and have access to a car/vehicle to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010) and the ability to travel throughout the Kent region (essential
• Managing the Central Alert System (on behalf of the organisation and cascading relevant safety alerts to the appropriate staff within KMPT.
• Providing advice about the maintenance of all relevant medical devices used within the Trust against the Service Level Agreement with EME Services ensuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
• Developing and maintaining medical device risk registers and maintenance schedules across all services within the organisation.
• Production of data reports on Medical device incidents received and actioned, CAS alerts, and field safety notices
• Populate comprehensive approved medical devices electronic spreadsheet to capture all approved devices procured within organisation. For information, reporting, and quality assurance.
• Acting as the Trust Medical Devices Safety Officer (MDSO
• Provide training on Medical devices
