Summary


NHS Talking Therapies Services in Brent and Hillingdon working in partnership with Royal Holloway University of London have opportunities for committed and professional individuals to join our teams asHigh Intensity (CBT) Trainees.

Applications are invited from experienced health, mental health or social care professionals who have worked in mental health settings, with a recorded or registered professional qualification in health, mental health or social care. This would include experienced Mental Health Nurses, Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, and recently qualified psychological therapists e.g., Clinical and Counselling Psychologists.

Please note that PWP’s need to have a minimum of 3 years full-time experience - 2 of which are as a qualified practitioner to be eligible for application of this post.

Those applicants without a recognised and accredited core mental health professional training (such as Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner or Psychotherapists and Counsellors without UKCP or BACP accreditation) can apply but will need to complete the KSA process (Knowledge,
Skills and Attitude) if they are shortlisted for an interview. This is an assessment process devised by the BABCP for individuals without a recognised core professional qualification in mental health.

Brentand Hillingdon Talking Therapies Servicesare located in vibrant and diverse boroughs in London, and are experienced in supporting individuals in their CBT training as High Intensity Trainees.

This is a 12-month full time training role and consists of 3 days clinical placement within a talking therapies service, and 2 days training with Royal Holloway University including completion of coursework. The post holder will need to manage both the academic and clinical requirements of the training post. You will work be trained to assess and treat adults with anxiety disorders and depression using a cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) framework, and receive clinical supervision from an experienced and qualified CBT therapists.
