Position: School Receptionist
Location: Nelson Primary School, Nelson
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Start Date: ASAP - The role is required to start immediately, continue until the end of the school term (19th July), and resume in September.

Job Role:
- Nelson Primary School is seeking a friendly and efficient School Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for parents, students, and visitors, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- This role requires exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist parents, students, and visitors.
- Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and professional manner.
- Manage the school's main email inbox and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Maintain student records and ensure all information is up to date.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
- Coordinate and manage appointments and meetings for school staff.
- Distribute mail and manage deliveries.
- Support school events and activities as needed.

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- A friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Basic understanding of child safeguarding practices.
- Knowledge of school administration software.
- Experience working with children.
- First Aid certification.
