Applications are invited for a Senior Clinical Fellow in the Department of Gastroenterology based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. This is an exciting opportunity to join Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust. This post is for two permanent roles to commence on 4 July 2024 or as soon as feasible if after this time. Applicants should have previous experience in General Medicine and preferably experience in a range of acute medical specialties at Registrar or SHO level. A good general Medical training is essential and possession of the MRCP would be an advantage. The post will also give valuable experience in all aspects of general gastroenterology with the opportunity to attend outpatient clinics and endoscopy sessions. Also, several specialist procedures are undertaken in the department, which include ERCP, oesophageal testing and video capsule endoscopy. Previous Senior Clinical Fellows have gone on to obtain gastroenterology specialist training positions and have been first authors on publications and / or presentations at national / international meetings. The post has GIM built in, and the post holder will take part in the medical on-call rota.
