The Best Connection are currently looking to recruit a number of Industrial Sewing Machinists, to work for our client that manufactures survival equipment, based in Gosport, Hampshire.
Duties to include, but not limited to: Operating an industrial sewing machine Manufacturing survival-based clothing and equipment, such as life jackets etc. Working within a factory-based environment Working to specific measurements and showing keen to attention to detail Being able to copy designs and patterns Some of the products are heavy, so the job role can be physical Maintaining health and safety requirements Training will be provided, however previous experience of operating an Industrial Sewing Machine is essential to be considered for this position. Please ensure you meet this criteria before applying.
Due to the working location, it would be highly advantageous if you are local or if you have your own transport.
This is for an immediate start, and an ongoing, full-time position, on a temp-to-perm contract. The company will offer you a permanent contract after a 12-week qualifying period, depending on performance and attendance.
The working hours are 08:30 - 16:45, Monday - Thursday, and 08:30 - 13:00 on Friday.
The starting pay rate is £12.04 per hour, with weekly pay.
