Grown Up Congenital Heart Receptionist
We have an exciting opportunity at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, within the Grown Up Congenital Heart to join as the Receptionist (Admin).
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has good interpersonal skills. This is an exciting role and the successful candidate will be part of a team of various staff cohorts, whilst being a part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
The post holder will be required to work on the day to day duties of reception to meet and great patients.
They will ensure that service requirements are met and National RTT targets are adhered to.
The successful candidate will need to be a flexible team player who can manage a varied workload to meet
set targets and changing deadlines. They must be able to work within a confidential environment and adhere to Information Governance procedures.
Computer literacy is essential as the successful candidate will be expected to input, extract and compile information from a number of booking and patient tracking systems. Full training will be provided on CRS/PACs/Intouch/Netcall and other websites and programmes
The post holder will be expected to provide a welcoming first impression for the GUCH Reception, where echocardiograms, ECG’s, heart monitor fitting and a variety
of hearts tests are performed.
The post holder will also have a number of admin duties to undertake such as dealing with phone calls from patients, preparation of lists and paperwork for the next day, dealing with patient outcomes on the system and working closely with the Cardiac Physiologists to ensure a smooth running of the patient flow in the department.
To ensure that all telephone enquiries are dealt with as quickly and adheres to the Trusts Access policy with national and local access targets.
The role requires the post holder to develop efficient and effective systems of work to ensure that patients experience good communication, choice and a personal and responsive service
