Crynodeb

Croda is the name behind some of the world’s biggest Healthcare and Personal Care brands. We supply a wide range of ingredients used within their products to deliver the performance you expect from your favourite brands.

Rawcliffe Bridge has been manufacturing chemical ingredients for almost 100 years – Our products include lanolin, alkoxylates and anionic surfactants. The Quality Control team play a crucial role in ensuring all of our products meet the specification requirements of our customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Apprentice to join the Quality Control team at Rawcliffe Bridge. In this role you will learn how to carry out the full range of routine and one-off testing carried out by the QC Team. Alongside this the apprenticeship will give the opportunity to spend time in other roles within the technical department (Analytical, Quality Assurance and Process Development) and spend time with our Shift QC Team.

As part of the apprenticeship scheme you will be enrolled on a fully funded Distance Learning Laboratory Scientist (Chemical) Degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. The course is predominantly completed remotely but expenses will be covered for any travel to the university.

The course is: Laboratory Scientist (Chemical) Degree Apprenticeship

The qualification they are working towards is BSc (Hons) Chemical Science Degree

The course length is 4 years.

The apprenticeship offers a great route into Technical roles with previous apprentices now employed in permanent roles within both the process development and quality control teams. Further education is also possible with a previous apprentice now completing a Masters in Analytical Chemistry funded by Croda.

If you have an interest in chemistry and want to further your studies whilst in paid employment this is an ideal opportunity for you.
