This full time post is available on a permanent term basis.



This role is based on site – with some time working from home.



Summary of the role

The main purpose of the job is to assist the BMS controls engineer in duties and responsibilities to deliver an agreed service level to staff and students in the most energy efficient way whilst keeping the building services maintained to a high standard, reporting to the BMS engineer.



As a member of the Engineering team the role holder will play a key role in identifying improvements to energy efficiency whilst maintain high comfort standards. The role will be a key deliverable in the University carbon management strategy at sitewide and building level.



The BMS Technician will also be able to provide operational cover for the ARX access control system to assist in the identification of faults with doors and low-level operation of the ARX door access system.

This post holder is an essential part of the Estates team, and in the day-to-day operation of our buildings, supporting the conditions for academic research, staff & student comfort across our estates.
