We are looking to recruit a Level 3 Diagnostic Technician to join our team based in, Corby. This role will assist in the daily production of the mechanical department in order to achieve production figures and produce high quality vehicles in line with customer standards. The work will include, but is not limited to; mechanical safety checks, road tests, servicing (all makes and models) and diagnostic analysis and repairs, leading to warranty claims processing, where applicable.

Your key responsibilities will be:


Carry out general mechanical repairs and servicing of vehicles.
Undertake general tyre changing duties for a variety of vehicles.
Complete air conditioning services as and when required.
Undertake road and ramp testing and inspection as and when required.
Carry out all repairs in line with approved methods to restore the vehicle to its original condition.
Ascertain job requirements from the job card/estimate and record all time taken against the repair.
Ensure that all documentation is accurately completed and that all company procedures are followed.
Conduct advanced vehicle diagnostic sessions with full operational understanding of manufacturer diagnostic equipment and techniques.
Diagnose problems on vehicles in the workshop and, if needed, undertake electrical diagnosis on vehicles as required.
Perform warranty repairs and provide suitable paperwork to aid the claims process in line with manufacturer standards.
Carry out full in-depth technician and QCR reports.
Plan and organise time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed within set deadlines, achieving efficiency.
Help other technicians and assist with training new members of staff.


To be successful, you’ll bring some of the following experience with you:


City & Guilds, IMI (or equivalent) Level 3 qualification (essential)
Previous attendance on specific manufacturer training courses, confirming Level 3 capability.
Contribute fully to company initiatives, projects and processes, and support positively the aims and ambitions of the company.
