Summary

This role requires you to work in collaboration with operational colleagues
in teams across MHRA.
Main Responsibilities:


Work with the Data Protection Officer to support other colleagues
across the department to understand the requirements of and to comply with
Data Protection Legislation.
Manage
a caseload of active requests for advice and queries, individual information
rights requests, including the gathering of information, meeting relevant
deadlines, and reviewing and updating the live casework registers.
Carry
out data breach reviews and support with investigations as required.
Co-ordinate
records management and retention of digital files and paperwork to ensure
personal data and information is retained in line with data protection
legislation and contractual requirements.
Respond
to enquiries and refer more complex enquiries to their line Manager, where
necessary.
Communicate
established processes and procedures to a range of audiences as required.
Deliver
training to MHRA colleagues, promoting confidentiality of personal and
sensitive information in line with MHRA policies and procedures.
Escalate
any non-compliance, serious breaches and irregularities or suspected data
breaches in accordance with MHRA policies and procedures.
Deliver
independent, objective advice and convey this in both written and oral
communications and to ensure confidentiality where appropriate and when dealing
with sensitive issues.
Undertake
appropriate learning and development as required by the Apprenticeship Training
Programme and participate in internal training provided by MHRA

Training
Data Protection and Information Governance Level 4 apprenticeship standard

Qualifications required

A minimum of 5 x GCSEs at grade 4/C or above including English and maths
3 x A-Levels at A*-C grade
