Our client, based in Loughborough, has been designing and manufacturing Low Voltage switch gear since 1995. They have grown that they now provide equipment to not only most UK transformer manufacturers as well but internationally as well. They are looking to expand their team with an experienced copper fabricator.
Your role will entail machining, forming, punching, and polishing of copper busbar and device connections for the use in LV switch gear and outdoor feeder pillars.
Your role as Copper Fabricator also includes:
- Measure and work to a very high standard of precision.
- Be confident with the use of fixed machines such a circular saw, pillar drill, hydraulic puncher, and copper bending machine (all individual machine training will be provided).
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Identify problems and liaise with other team members and with the engineers to find solutions.
- Taking health and safety at work seriously.
Requirements of a Copper Fabricator:
- Experience in fabrication is preferred.
- Experience working with copper.
- Excellent use of a tape measure
- The right to work in the UK.
- Willing to work overtime when required both during the week and most Saturday mornings.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Able to work independently.
Location: Loughborough Salary: £24300 - £28300 per annum plus overtime
