This role will give you the chance to play a key role on ground-breaking and high-profile defence projects with values in the hundreds of millions. You'll be part of an industry-leading team, working with Marshall and other major defence stakeholders and Primes.

Your responsibilities in this role:

Responsible for the rectification and repair of the Hercules C130J/C130 Legacy model aircraft avionics and electrical systems (and when required Role Equipment), including functional testing, fault finding, embodiment of modifications, technical instructions, and scheduled maintenance I.A.W relevant Air Publications and Job Guides.

  • Inspection & Certification of aircraft modifications, repairs, system functions and maintenance tasks across scope of trade on C130J / C130 Legacy models.

  • Ensure that all the work performed within the allocated area of responsibility is in compliance with appropriate technical & regulatory requirements and within scope of approvals.

  • Planning of work, work allocation and supervision of a team to achieve requirements efficiently, on time and to the appropriate standard within the allocated area of responsibility.

  • Communication and Liaison with other Departments/Trades to support 'on time' Aircraft delivery.

  • Mentoring of other staff members.

  • Actively participate in Continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

  • Approved aeronautical Electrical/Avionic apprenticeship (or equivalent (level 3)).

  • Experienced post trade qualification in an aircraft maintenance environment and within trade scope.

  • Demonstrate-able supervisory and QC experience.

  • Successful completion of C130 aircraft type course (part 147 or equivalent).

  • Sound Knowledge of Health and safety in the workplace, including COSHH, Risk assessments and SSOW.
