Location: Desford LE9 / Hybrid after 3 months training period
Salary: £17.63 Per hour PAYE / Rolled up and Umbrella inside IR35 available
Term: 12 Month Contract likely to extend
Hours: 37.5 hours a week Monday to Thursday 8 hours shift start time between 6:45-8:15, Friday 5.5 hours shift, start time is the same as Monday to Thursday.
Role Definition: Manage and oversee material procurement, production, and delivery schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate material flow within the manufacturing facility and between inventory or warehouse.
- Develop and execute material planning for a product line to meet program requirements.
- Schedule and control material releases and monitor material inventory.
- Implement procurement plans that align with business objectives.
- Track supplier performance metrics and negotiate with suppliers to meet material requirements.
Skills Required:
Products and Services:
- Understand major products and services and how they link with others in the organisation.
- Research target markets and explain product statuses and updates.
- Assess product alternatives, costs, and pricing.
Problem Solving:
- Identify and document problems and resolution options.
- Understand stakeholder perspectives and analyse risks and benefits of different approaches.
- Use fact-finding techniques to diagnose problems.
Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP):
- Manage real-time inventory and address bottlenecks and delays.
- Follow processes for inventory management and solve distribution issues.
Forecasting:
- Prepare short-term forecasts and analyse demand data.
- Research seasonal trends and explain business conditions that impact demand.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet internal and external needs.
- Set inventory management benchmarks and provide guidance on processes.
Logistics Management:
- Develop process flows to track lead times and forecast delivery times.
- Maintain shipment records and participate in logistics process integration.
Manufacturing Requirements Planning (MRP):
- Develop materials requirements and costs for custom orders.
- Schedule production runs and ensure material availability.
- Use tools to analyse orders and develop quotes.
Supplier Management:
- Manage relationships and transactions with suppliers.
- Resolve routine supplier issues and participate in supplier selection.
- Ensure purchases meet delivery and quality specifications.
