Deputy Nursery Manager - Supernumerary

Salary: £40,000

Hours Per Week: 40

To be considered for the role of Deputy Nursery Manager you will have:
  • A minimum of a Level 3 Childcare related qualification
  • GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014)
  • Previous Early Year Management or Leadership experience
  • Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks


About the Nursery:

This nursery is a privately owned and family run, registered children's day nursery located in a quiet residential street in Finchley Central, London. The nursery is within walking distance of the beautiful grounds of Avenue House, Victoria Park and Finchley Central underground station.

The setting, a large Edwardian house with extensive gardens has been transformed and equipped to offer the highest standards of care for children aged between three months and five years in line with National Standards, the Early Years Foundation Framework and parental aspirations.

The role of a Deputy Nursery Manager within the Nursery involves:
  • Deputising for the Manager in their absence
  • Assisting with the day to day running of the Nursery
  • Assisting with training and carrying out staff appraisals
  • Keeping accurate records for both children and members of staff
  • Leading daily and weekly meeting, alongside the management team
  • Ensuring the Nursery is compliant with internal and external policies and procedures
  • Developing good relationships with the Nursery team and external agencies
  • Ensuring the highest level of care is being delivered
  • Being responsible for a number of key children as when needed
  • Ensuring there are good staffing levels and when needed assist with the recruitment process
