We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Band 7 Podiatrist to work within the Integrated Specialist Podiatry Service at Bolton Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Podiatrist with leadership skills and a passion for the high risk foot. The successful candidate will work closely with the Team Leader, Principal Service Lead, and other Band 7 Podiatrists to support the operational running of the team, support strategic objectives within the Podiatry Department and wider Therapy Services, and lead on the delivery of high quality, accessible and timely podiatric intervention to a caseload of “at risk” patients presenting with a combination of high risk/complex, chronic and acute foot health needs.

The successful candidate will act as a source of expertise in the management of highly complex foot problems within the podiatry service and in the multi-disciplinary setting; working closely with Tissue Viability Specialists, Consultant-led Multidisciplinary teams, GP’s, Ward staff and District Nursing staff to educate; and will be responsible for training and providing mentorship and clinical supervision to podiatrists, podiatry students and other health care professionals in the management of complex high risk foot problems.

The role will be to work as an autonomous practitioner. You will be expected to work across community settings (including domiciliary) and the acute hospital site, assessing and treating a range of patients with diverse presentations of physical and psychological conditions; and ensuring seamless care across settings. You will be supported by the Podiatry Professional Lead as well as the Podiatry Team Leader and Principal Service Lead for Therapies.
