Class 1 Shunter
Menzies Distribution are looking for an experienced HGV/LGV Class 1 Shunter to join our team, providing a first class service in Livingston.
What You Want To Know:
• Salary: £14.20 Per Hour
• Rotating Shift Pattern: Week 1: 00:01 – 08:00 / Week 2: 08:00 – 16.:00 / Week 3: 16:00 – 00.00
• Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
• Holiday Allowance: 28 Days
• Parking Onsite
• Monthly Pay
Shunter Duties:
• Ensure vehicle load is safe, secure and correctly positioned.
• Correctly check and accept load documentation and delivery paperwork.
• Correctly check in any returned goods and ensure paperwork is accurate.
• Maintain communication at all times with the Traffic Office.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, using all equipment safely as specified in operating procedures.
• Operate vehicle safely, ensuring driver actions do not endanger self or other road users.
• Comply with safe working practices at all times.
• Undertake any other reasonable job instruction to support the supply of a quality service to the customer.
• Rachet, strap and corner management.
HGV Driver/Shunter Requirements:
• 12 months previous class 1 driving experience
• Previous shunting experience (desirable)
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• No previous disqualifications
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and WTD regulations
• This can be reasonably physical so we ask for this to be considered when applying.
