The WEA is the UK`s largest voluntary sector provider of adult education, a charity dedicated to bringing high quality, professional education into the heart of communities. We believe that all adults, regardless of their situation, should have access to education.

Reporting to the IT Director, the successful candidate will:
-Manage the design, structuring and maintenance of the WEA`s business systems and supporting activities. Monitor system risk while also providing project management support across system related projects.
-Act as IT relationship manager to key stakeholders where management of systems falls within their remit e.g. Virtual Learning Environment, HR, Finance, plus supporting the Student Record Systems Manager when required.
-Accept and deal with user problems / enquiries escalated from the IT helpdesk, further escalating any calls that cannot be resolved by the IT department to higher-level external support.
-Work with stakeholders to implement effective changes to systems, including assisting and advising on the deployment of new software, migrations, and upgrades to ensure minimum disruption.
-Create system and implementation documents and ensure all systems information and documentation is up to date and readily available.
-Effectively manage software suppliers and act as the Association`s point of contact for training, development, user-specific needs, and licensing.
About you:We are looking for:
- In depth experience of using Finance and HR systems
- Experience of administrative processes, workflows, and data
- Experience of a system administration role
- Experience of maintaining and configuring business application systems
- Experience of testing software
- Experience of managing significant systems projects
- CRM configuration experience
- Integration and migration experience
- Ability to manage budgets and resources
- IT / System requirement capture
- Develop database structures and interfaces with other software
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Management and negotiation of software contracts
- Cross-department teamwork to gather system requirements
- Knowledge of Salesforce and Drupal is desirable, not essential
