Job Title: Service Desk Engineer

Salary: Up to £30,000

Location: Hybrid working, home & BCA Rockingham (monthly visits)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours

Job Status: Permanent

The Constellation Technology Team provides a group-wide set of Technology Products and Services across the Constellation Automotive Group.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within a rapidly growing software company. Working with some of the world’s best-known companies, as a Service Desk Engineer your primary role will be to manage a support work queue and be responsible for maintenance on the live environment.

Expanding into global markets, the business is going through a period of rapid growth and expansion and has won numerous awards for its video and imaging solutions including Microsoft Innovation of the Year Award and Retail Week Digital Excellence Award.



The Role:


Communicate with customers and users via phone and email to troubleshoot and diagnose issues
Troubleshoot technical issues using remote tools and gather diagnostic information
Writing and updating support cases on a ticketing system
Writing and updating feature requests and bug reports for the development team
Creating and updating internal documentation and wiki guides
Cover emergency / urgent support issues on weekends and bank holidays as part of the on-call rota




You Will Have:


2 years of experience working within a support department
Great verbal and written communication skills both with customers and other team members
Proficient with Microsoft office package
Basic TCP/IP networking knowledge, Gateways, Subnet masks, DNS
Windows Operating System desktop administration
Working experience of SQL statements
Desktop administration
The ability to work well in a team or as an individual




Advantageous but not essential:


Experience of IOS operating system
Experience of the following:

TeamViewer
Eset AntiVirus
