About the role:

As our Quality Assurance Manager, you will report directly to both the Business Owner and the Operations Director. You will ensure the quality and safety of our products as we scale new heights. You will work closely with the Packhouse Team Leader and Yard Manager to maintain high standards of raw material quality, ensure efficient packing processes, and uphold our food safety culture. As our business continues to grow, you'll also play a crucial role in planning our facility expansion, working with our Technical Manager to develop and implement BRC systems.

This position offers exceptional growth opportunities, ideally suiting someone with aspirations to progress to a Production Manager role within the next few years.

Other duties will include:

- Ensure that packed potatoes meet required standards, are correctly labelled, palletised, and stored.

- Lead and train the packhouse team to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and food safety culture.

- Work closely with the Business Owner and Yard Manager to understand all aspects of our potato production process.

- Maintain and complete all production records accurately.

- Assist in stock control of packaging and coordinate with Engineering to resolve any issues promptly.

- Partner with the Planner & Stock Controller to achieve On-Time-In-Full delivery scores.

- Maintain optimal staffing levels and minimise wastage.

- Efficiently allocate resources across shift teams.

Shift Pattern:

This role is based on a 45-hour week, Monday to Friday, but flexibility is key to fit around business needs.

About you:

You will be an enthusiastic and driven individual who thrives in a collaborative environment. You will need to have excellent people skills and problem-solving abilities. At least 5 years of experience in the food or drink industry, and ideally 2 years in QA/QC roles. Supervisory or management experience would be desirable. You are proficient in English and comfortable with computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Above all, you will be motivated to grow with Fairfields Farm and contribute to our vision of sustainable excellence.

If you're ready to embark on a rewarding career journey with Fairfields Farm, apply now and become an integral part of our thriving, supportive team!
