Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading steel company in their search for a Saw Operator to work at their facility in Shrewsbury
For the successful Saw Operator our client is offering:
• £12 - £13 per hour depending on experience
• 2 week shift rotation - Week 1 & 2 - Monday to Friday, 6am – 2:30pm. Week 3 & 4 - Monday - Friday, 12:00pm - 8:30pm
• Temporary to Permanent position
• Training and Development opportunities available
• Profit related bonuses & attendance bonuses after qualifying period
• 29 days annual leave including bank holidays
The role - Saw Operator:
• Set up and operate sawing equipment to cut aluminium and stainless steel to customer specifications
• Read and accurately interpret order sheets
• Read and accurately interpret technical drawings to determine cutting requirements
• Select appropriate saw blades, adjust cutting speeds, and position materials for precise cuts
• Check quality of finished products.
• Monitor sawing operations to ensure accuracy, quality and adherence to safety protocols
• Performing daily maintenance checks of metal saw
• Maintain a clean and organised work area
What our client is looking for in a Saw Operator:
• Previous experience in a similar role - ESSENTIAL
• Ability to work from blueprints and technical drawings - ESSENTIAL
• Physically fit to lift heavy materials
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
