Lab Support Engineer
Job Overview
-We have an opening to support our Pharmaceutical client within the Hertfordshire area, offering Laboratory Instrument support, working within an integrated environment and with a well established team
Main Duties
The position is responsible for providing a range of Laboratory Instrument Services at site. The role will include, but is not limited to,
-Ensuring that Planned & Reactive Maintenance is completed within the specified time-frames and in adherence to sites scheduling requirements
-Undertaking Planned & Reactive Maintenance of HPLC & GC
-Coordination & scheduling of Sub Contractors
-Contractor Management in line with site processes and Permit to Work policies
-Ensuring documentation and records are kept up-to-date and in compliance with site requirements
-Ensuring compliance with Quality Standards
Other Duties
-The Laboratory Support Engineer will be required to work flexibly, to encompass any urgent or unanticipated needs arising for increases or decreases in plant production schedules
-Supporting with continuous Improvement projects and to identify cost savings opportunities
What we are looking for
-Educated to degree level in a science (preferably chemistry) or engineering subject
-1+ years as field engineer or lab based engineer completing PPMs and Reactive Maintenance on HPLC &/or GC systems
-Enthusiastic, hard working and shows willing
-Confidence and communication skills to challenge behaviours and drive continuous improvement.
-Can perform under pressure and independent of supervision
-Customer focussed
-Experience of working within a laboratory, GxP environment (preferred)
-Attention to detail & capability to work methodically to strict processes and procedures
-Compliance with health and safety requirements
This role would be suitable for a field engineer looking to change to an onsite role with no travelling.
